Who owns Bosworth Wines?
Bosworth Wines is proudly privately owned and family-run by Joch Bosworth and partner Louise Hemsley-Smith
Where are you based?
We are located in the Willunga sub-region of McLaren Vale in South Australia. We also own a vineyard in Cygnet River on Kangaroo Island.
Do you grow all your own grapes?
Yes, as a certified organic wine business all our grapes are grown in our organic vineyards.
How can I be assured your wines are organic & sustainable?
All our McLaren Vale vineyards hold Australian Certified Organic status and Sustainable Wine Growing Australian certification.

Our Kangaroo Island vineyards are undergoing organic conversion and use all the same organic viticulture methods of our McLaren Vale vineyards.
Are your wines vegan &/or gluten free?
All our wines across our Battle of Bosworth, Spring Seed Wine Co, Outliers Range and Spring Road Kangaroo Island are vegan and naturally gluten free.

We have two wine clubs each offering fantastic benefits with wine deliveries per year.
1485 Wine Club
Focused on our organic McLaren Vale Battle of Bosworth, Spring Seed Wine Co wines (we also slip in a few Kangaroo Island wines).
Springs Road Wine Club
For those with a passion for our Kangaroo Island grown wines.

There are no wine club fees.

Yes you can change clubs at any time by contacting us.

Where are your cellar doors?
We have two cellar doors.
- McLaren Vale is the home cellar door for Battle of Bosworth and Springs Seed Wine Co wines.
- Our Kangaroo Island cellar door showcases our Springs Road Kangaroo Island Wines.
What times are you open?
McLaren Vale:
Monday to Saturday 11.00am to 5.00pm
Sunday 12.00 to 5.00pm
Kangaroo Island:
May to September
Wednesday – Monday (closed Tuesday) 12.00 – 4.00pm
October to April we are open daily from 12.00-5.00pm
Both our cellar doors are closed Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day
Do I need to book?
There is no need to book for groups of 5 or less.
For groups of 6 or more please make a booking via our website.
Our Kangaroo Island Cellar Door does offer some bookable food and wine experiences if you prefer to plan in advance.
Is there a fee for wine tasting?
A tasting fee of $10 applied at both our McLaren Vale and Kangaroo Island cellar doors (redeemable on purchase). Premium tasting experiences are also available to book.
Do you offer food?
We stock a selection of local artisan cheeses, pâté and produce available for purchase for a ‘build your own’ platter to suit your tastes.
Do you accept groups or events?
Groups are accepted only via prior appointment.
Are children & pets welcome?
Children are very welcome at both cellar doors with games and toys available.
As our McLaren Vale cellar door is home to our own family dogs we ask that you leave your pets in the car or at home.
Well behaved dogs are welcome at our Kangaroo Island cellar door.
Do you cater for the disabled?
Both of our cellar doors are wheelchair accessible.
Do you offer discounts at your cellar door?
We offer a discount of 10% for purchases of 12 bottles or more.
Do you offer accommodation?
No, but refer to our Blog section for recommendations on our favourite nearby places to stay.
Purchases & Shipping
Do you ship wines within Australia? What are the fees?
We ship Australia wide. Shipping fees vary depending on your location & order size. These will display automatically at checkout. Our Wine Club members receive free shipping on orders of 6 bottle or more.
Do you ship internationally?
We can ship internationally via Get Freighted
How long does it take to ship?
We aim to have your order lodged for shipping within 2 working days. Delivery times follow standard Australia Post shipping windows.
Can I change an order
Contact us within 24 hours to make a change to your order.
Where can I buy your wines?
Our wine is stocked in fine wine stores Australia-wide & in several international locations. Email us with your location for a list of local stockists.
Can I buy over the phone instead of online?
Yes, contact us on (08) 8556 2441 and our team can assist you.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No, you can order any amount.
Do you offer discounts for online purchases?
We offer a discount of 10% for purchases of 12 bottles or more.
Can I send wine as a gift?
Yes, simply add a note to your order & we can ship to your preferred location with a gift note.
What if my order is faulty or damaged?
Please contact us so we can arrange return & exchange of any damaged bottles.
